We test combustion, clean the components that matter and give you a written record. If something has already failed, we diagnose properly instead of guessing at parts. If radiators are cold at the bottom, the boiler is noisy or the system is slow to heat, we carry out a Kamco power flush using genuine Kamco equipment and chemicals, then fit a magnetic filter and add inhibitor so the system stays clean. ## Common questions ### How often should a gas boiler be serviced? Once a year. Most manufacturer warranties require an annual service to stay valid, and it is also when small faults get caught before they turn into a breakdown in January. ### What is included in a boiler service? Strip and clean of the burner and combustion chamber where required, seal and flue checks, gas pressure and flow rate, a flue gas analyser reading, controls and safety device checks, and a written record of the readings. ### How much does a boiler service cost? We quote a fixed price up front for a standard service, and if the boiler needs parts or repair work we price that separately before doing it. You will not get a surprise bill. ### Why is my boiler losing pressure? Usually a leak on the system, a failed expansion vessel or a passing pressure relief valve. It is a diagnostic job rather than a guess — topping it up repeatedly only hides the cause. ### Should I repair or replace an old boiler? If parts are still available and the boiler is sound, a repair is usually the sensible call. Once you are into repeated failures, obsolete parts or badly corroded internals, replacing it costs less over a couple of winters.
