Converting to a combi removes the hot press cylinder and attic tanks, freeing up real space and giving you hot water on demand. We check your incoming mains flow first — if a combi is wrong for your house, we will tell you before you spend anything.

Combi Boiler Conversions: common questions
- How long does a combi conversion take?
- Typically two to four days. Tanks and the cylinder come out, pipework is reworked, and the system is flushed, filled and commissioned before we leave.
- Is a combi boiler better than a system boiler?
- For most two and three bedroom homes with one main bathroom, yes — you free up the hot press and attic and get hot water on demand. If you have several bathrooms used at the same time, a system boiler and cylinder often suits better.
- Will a combi give enough hot water pressure?
- That depends on your incoming mains flow rate. We measure it before quoting. If the mains cannot support a combi, we will say so rather than fit one and leave you disappointed.
- What happens to the old hot press and attic tanks?
- They are removed and taken away, and the hot press is left clear. Any redundant pipework is capped off properly rather than left hanging.
