Underfloor heating spreads heat evenly across a room at a much lower flow temperature than radiators, which makes it the natural partner for a heat pump. We design, install and commission wet underfloor systems for extensions, renovations and whole-house upgrades across Bray, North Wicklow and South Dublin — including zoning, manifolds and controls. Because SEAI defines the €2,000 central heating element of the heat pump system grant as covering new radiators and/or new underfloor heating, underfloor installed as part of a heat pump upgrade can be directly grant-funded.

SEAI defines the €2,000 central heating element of the heat pump system grant as covering new radiators and/or new underfloor heating. Underfloor heating installed as part of a heat pump system can attract up to €2,000 under that element.

- Is underfloor heating worth it?
- For new builds, extensions and full renovations, yes — even heat, no radiators taking up wall space, and it runs at a low temperature, which suits a heat pump.
- Can underfloor heating be retrofitted?
- It can, but it usually means lifting floors, so it makes most sense when the room is being renovated anyway.
- Does underfloor heating qualify for a grant?
- Underfloor heating installed as part of an SEAI heat pump system can attract up to €2,000 under the central heating element of that grant. On its own, with no heat pump, there is no grant.
